Well guys i am now thinking very seriously about my situation and with the cash ive lost on top of the cash to repair its just not justified to be honest sooooooo i think i want to break the car. At the moment dont have anywhere to store it unless if gets broken at zedworld.

 

Think after this i will not be buying another zx neither and will go for the e46 m3 that i have been wanting for some time now so that i can have a more reliable car and enjoy motoring for the short spell.

 

Cant explain how hard this is to say but im pritty sure there must be a few K in parts on the car from the bodykit-wheels-flywheel-exhaust-suspension-interior, never mind all the goodies i have lying in my bedroom.

So im very upset and what it has come to and ive learned and wish for everyone to learn to send cars to REAL mechanics who can offer warranties etc and actually do the jobs.

 

Just thought i would let you knwo where i stand at the moment. So hopeing zedworld can give me a price on how much they would take to break. OR other option is i have a bash at it myself.lol. But would need to get it trailored back home and find a lock-up.

Your choices are break it, scrap it, sell it or repair it !! choose the one that best suits you and go for it !!!

to be honest zeds are cars that should be dealt by people who now their stuff,propa mechanics not wanna be fly by night zed owners,,i reckon he must have been swapping bits round,,then sabotaged ur cari....f i was you pal,get the boys,go round and deal with him with a heavy hand,get ur dosh back standard.How much did you pay?

 

Dont be put off zeds mate,most reliable cars going,stick to fresh jdm models as they are in much better condition than uk models in most case's..

 

Hope it works out for you,how much would you want for the wheels?

 

I think the mods should ban him and its members like that should be removed from this site...

This is just a very stressful time with xmas coming up aswell and its also my fathers birthday soon after and my girlfriends 21st so got to get good presents etc.:rant:

Just buy a good stock/standed clean well looked after TT, And swap all the good parts over, coilovers, exhaust wheels and the bits you have in your bedroom.

 

Brake the rest of the car then. Bonnet, boots dash lights etc get a few £££ to help pay for the new ZX

 

Its going to be cheaper than buying a 15K M3 ;)

On the reliability front, I have to say that I am very pleased and getting exactly what I expected from a Japanese car (touch wood). So far, as good as a Micra but not wishing to tempt fate.

Just following on from my last post, it did take me 6 years to find a decent car. Not that I was looking hard, but I was shocked (when I first started looking in 2003) at how few genuine cars were available in the UK, as the majority had been modded and sha**ed beyond belief.

 

I have no idea why such a great car (one of the greatest ever in my opinion) has attracted so many dodgy owners, but it really does pain me to see some of appalling mutations that exist today, not to mention those that are treated no better than 20 year old fiestas. I also find some of the super low prices shocking too.

I stipped the vectra down in a weekend. Took all the bits i wanted off it and stored them in my garden shed till they sold. The shell was gone in 3 Days.

 

Thats the main thing is stripping down and getting rid of the shell asap You do 2 weeks at work and 2 off dont you so just plan it for when you are off.

 

Then you can put all the parts on the new zx when you want to no rush :)

This the point i was making to you in the other tread

 

its alot of hassle to break, and will take a while, then you got the job of researching prices for individual parts and removing bits, and to be fair i dont really think most would buy parts of a car like even tho its mainly engine and rust issues.

 

it would cost you to store the car and break and at the end of it you may not have any noticeable cash to show for it as you may be tempted to spend the bits of money from sold parts off the car, especially as christmas is round the corner. If you fix the car, which ever way re-shelling or rebuild at least you have something to show for all the trouble.

 

You will have alot more stress having to strip the car down

I think the same as you! And my Zed is very reliable also.

BTW, just to be clear, my posts have nothing to do with CraigTT or the matter here. Just a general rant about the general state of these cars, considering there real worth (in my eyes anyway!).
