Right, after everything that has happened with craigTT's car, and the offers that have been placed on the table, i propose a solution.

Once i have my car back on the road, and its taxed and MOT'ed, so i can park it up and get my garage free.

Id like to build CraigTT his Twin Turbo. if the offers still stand, we have so far 1 rolling shell. a block and head, i have engine parts as well. and if Craig is up for it, any of the parts we can salvage off his motor.

And any other parts the community would like to donate to the cause. id do all the work, unless someone else wants to come and help out, i really dont mind, and once its all done, it can go to JeffTT at Zedworld for a health check, and once ready, Jeff can present Craig with the keys to his new car.

So if your interested in doing this with me, so we can rescue a fellow Zed owner from the pit of despair, stick your name down here.

Please no negative comments. and Craig, only way this would happen is with your say so. i have the permission from the wife for this to happen. so im all set this end. :) and if i get stuck on anything, im sure i can phone Jeff and ask him.

This would be a community thing for a fellow Zedder out of the kindness of our hearts. and the reward would be the look on Craig's face at the end of it :D

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Buddy, that is a truly astounding offer on your part and a credit to you for making it.:bow::bow::bow::bow::bow::bow::bow::bow: and I hope it all comes to fruition. Well Done.

Mate, I have no mechanical skills or parts - but i think that you and your offer have just shown what being part of a club is all about, and epitomizes the general spirit that i have been met with from all the members i have encountered. I echo Vins comment :bow::bow::bow::bow::bow::bow:

If there is anything that i can do to help - I make a mean cup of tea/coffee - can move heavy objects - and generally lend a hand then you can add me to the list of those willing to help. I mean with your call to the community, and what with me being a youth and community worker i just couldn't ignore the call to arms.

I'm @ Zedworld as we speak looking at Craigs car - and it does seem very sad to let such a beauty die a death.

Someone on one of the threads said that this great white should be put to rest - and that might well be the case, but i think that the offer you have made and the other generous offers from others means that poor old Craig at least has a few options now.

It's a great offer....................but are you going to do Birds car aswell?? He's been through worse and had to pay out far far more.

Although I think Lee is nearly finished, new shell, engine rebuild etc.

There should not be a need for a thread like this if this clubs members cared about other members, it should not have been sold in the state it was in to anyone let alone a club member. Very poor ethics I think.

well im not sure if i have any parts that i think would be of use but i will offer a hand if needed in the sound department as i specialise in audio/visual installation and other areas of sound and been doing so for quite a few years

....this reminds me of that american show Overhauled :D

Yeah second that.

By the way Vinz, it's AH HA HA HA staying alive :nana2:

A very kind offer from you but a personal opinion is get the engine done by z world or jimmer. The rest can be done off of donations.

Don't know Bird, as i wasn't around when he went through his ordeal, but if there is help needed on his, i dont mind helping out as well.

I like the tea making idea but i think you would have to fight the wife on that one lol, she loves to do that, but even someone just being there when i ask for a socket size is help enough.

I fully understand this statement, but this is irrelevant as the damage has already been done.

Very generous offer, keep an eye on your PM's as i need Craig's say so for this to go ahead, Overhauled? (never seen it dont get to watch TV much, misses has Children's TV on for the little one, then takes over it for her programs at night, im limited to doing my car and the Internet lol)

I fully agree with this. and would need to speak to Jimmer and JeffTT To see what assistance they can offer. after all, the goal of this is to get Craig a car that is mechanically sound and he can drive for more than 60miles. It would be nice to use the parts from his car for the new one, at least this will be a better option and cut down on the amount of donated parts needed.

I am fully confident enough to undertake such a mammoth task. i also know my limits and thus if i run into problems doing something, i would definitely be asking for a bit of help. my work would also be to a high standard. and once complete would be going to Zed world to get checked over to make sure every thing is sound prior to Craig getting the keys.

We are aiming to avoid a repeat of what he has already been through.

Hi guys..............

I really dont know what to say im actually lost for words.........

I want to thank everybody in this club for all of the kind and harsh words as they all count at the end of the day and also for the genorosity of offering me free parts labour etc....

To be honest tho after my last ordeal i woudl find it hard to take my car somewhere other than Jeff at zedworld or Jimmer. This is not a personal thing just ive been quite deeply scared and yes it would cost a fair bit for my zed to be up and running again but then it woudl come warrantied etc.........

I am still discussing with jeff some options.....The car may be broken at zedworld im not sure and the money i get woudl go towards buying something else. Or if the rust can all be removed and treated and a really good sealent in place i would be willing to fix and keep the zed for years.

I really want to take this chance to say a huge thanks to you guys.

It was purely this club spirit that i had bought that car from stellaz as i wanted to remain part of this club.

thanks......should hopefully decide pritty soon what i want to do.

no problem matey, fully understand your fears. and the offer still stands if needed. just drop me a PM if you do want to go down this route.

I think its great what you guys suggest this but to ask companies to help ie Jimmer and Zed World is a little out of order. These guys are businesses at the end of the day and already offer a lot on this site when it come to issues we have. I have changed my opinion regarding this car Craig, i have been a welder for 10 years and i can tell you mate that car is bad. Break it bud.

PS i seen the car today, some nice bits on it and im sure you can recoup some money.

When did i say id get Jimmer and Jeff at Zed world to help out for free? i know fully well they are businesses, if they offered to help for free that would be purely on their own merits and not because i asked them.

I said i would need to speak to Zed world and Jimmer if Craig said about going ahead with this. and not that id be asking them to do work free of charge.

What is out of order, is for you to be jumping the gun on something that wasnt even stated.

It was mentioned that the engine would be better off being at Zed world, or in the capable hands of Jimmer. and this i agreed. not because i have doubts about my own capabilities, but as a reassurance for Craig that the best possible care with his engine is achieved.

Changing over everything from Craig's car to the new shell to get it set up ready for his engine is a big job, it would also sort out his Rust problem in one swoop. i offered to do this for free with the parts that have already been donated. what Craig does with his engine is up to him. but at least at the end of it once id finished he would have a car to put the engine into.

Yes i jumped the gun. A PM to Jeff or Jimmer would of been better than the suggestion. Look im not agaist what your saying mate but looking at the car today i feel its need major work and money and to be honest he is better off finding another Zed. Craig what do think? Its not just rot but chassis rot.

NP, i've just read what i put and it came across a bit hot headed. didn't mean it to sound as harsh as it did.

Well the reason for the shell swap is to eliminate the need to do the welding. and as Craig has already said that Zed world cant do that. i still dont mind doing it for him. but i also respect Craig's reservations in trusting someone he hardly knows, especially after the ordeal he has just been through

Personally, I see NO risk at all from your offer. There is nothing to lose at this stage.

Great offer mate, Craig should give this some serious thought, will save him a fortune.

would save a fortune yes.......but it could turn into the same dilemma and i would pay for that not to happen hence why its at zedworld.

im still very overwhelmed by this offer its fantastci of you guys to offer something like this...........just waiting to find out about how much it may be worth breaking etc.........might go down this route:(!!!

No worries bud, there is a lot of work. Have you seen the car yet mate?

Only in the my rides section, looks a stunner if you didn't know about the rust.

Things like wings / bonnet / boot lid can all be salvaged from his shell. seats, any internal items that need changing over, like dash board / carpets steering wheel, can all be moved, front bumper, rear bumper, and wide arches might all be able to be saved with some careful removal.

The rear might need to be resprayed

If the doors are OK as well, they can be rescued and put on, this would leave just the frame it self / rear arches side skirts and anything else I've missed to be resprayed.

Seats, wiring harnesses and all other parts that would need to be moved can be moved.

Sounds like a lot of work, but to be honest a lot of that can be done in a few days.

If he has uprated suspension on, that can all get moved over. i think the shell that Baz has, has had a lot stripped off of it. so would need a lot put back on from Craig's car. No real bother and can be done. including the steering rack. rewiring. it really would depend on how far Baz has got in dismantling his JDM shell

Total time i would think to get all of this done, would be around 3 weeks. i have the time to do it. so can work on it each and every day until its done.

Anyway this is still hearsay lol, Craig has already said that he would much rather it goes to some where he can get a warranty from. i can provide one if he wants. after all if i put it all together, ill know if anything what to change if it goes wrong.

Mate you must be super man lol. I hope you can work some magic for Craig, the car is rot ridden, not just panels. Any way best of luck, your a better man than me mate.:)

Its a super offer.

I dont know why craig will not take it up?? THere is 100% nothing to lose :)

very true

at this stage there is nothing to lose and infact more to gain and if criag does decide to go the breakers route later on in the future with the offer, at least the parts of the car would likely be off at this stage and easier to sell. its all good saying break it but that still cost time and even money in labour to remove some items as most peeps interested in parts do not want to concern themselves with having to removes parts off the the car themselves.

breaking takes time and you will not likely get the money back in chunks and will probably end up spending without realising over time so when ur left with the bare shell you may wonder where all the cash went? it happens

id say again take the offer.

yep a super idea, and really really helpful member, its alot of work blood sweat and tears all shed for free, and i just cant beleve craigs refusing a free offer, its on the plate, so should just take it, nothing to lose. :hyper:

its a very fine offer and i commend you for thinking along those lines :)

all i will say is in the real world i dont think its going to be possible to make it happen due to logistics etc but as i say a really nice offer :)

Mike

Im confused in whats happening now?? Is the Zed being stripped or being repaired with the help of the Zed family
