anyone got them on your cars , im thinking about getting some , but a PD1 which is like a strip and not small sensors, the reason for it is that my bodykit front bumper its just to low for the uk curb so the lip hits the curb every time , im getting better but my arse sticks out all the time , so this is another way round

I sell these type of kit for a living, Stay away from the strip kits as they are very unreliable, misalerting etc.:headvswal

ZX-TT, are there any that are reliable that you don't have to cut into the bumpers?

Unfortunately none that ive come across so far. Its hit or miss with the strip systems it will either work fine or always be a dog.

Cheers Craig

shame cos the last thing I intend to do is cut holes in my bumper :(

I have had them on the back, front and sideskirts for about a year of use - it looks like the same kit as above - but I had three of them ;-))

All worked well - very tunable and trouble free. I had the three controllers stacked behind a bit of dark acrylic down by the ignition switch - looked discreet worked a treat.

Will be putting them back or upgrading them when my current body is complete for sure.

Hi Andy,

What do you mean by "tunable"? can you callibrate them?

Yeah! On the set(s) I have, I can tune the alerting area out from about 5cm out to about 50cm - there is a little hole with a pot (potentiometer) and I can slip a small screwdriver/trimmer tool in there and tune them as above.

AndyGP - do you have a link to the kits you use?

Their in a box somewhere - I got them from flee-bay/japan fo rsure - and I think I polished off the logo's/branding cos it showed through the tinted plexiglass I placed them behind - also I cut one of them up for the sideskirt sensors - to get a balanced display (two each side) - the project was up on car domain a couple of years ago but...

I will try and dig something out - but already have better ideas for the new body sensors and the display - just a way down the line at the moment... :headvswal

Have a hunt through ebay and look for 'adjustable range' as a feature.

Andy

I'd be very interested to see how you actually have these fitted mate. They're a lot cheaper than I though they would be! Definitely something to do soon...
