the other day whilst driving kinda fastish , i stoped at a junction and then put my foot down th elight come on for a bit then when out , why did it do that, and what the purpose of the power light

Holds the revs longer as it knows your after power as your foot is pushing the carpet :D

oh so its automatic then its not just cause i was being a bit to heavy handed

It senses the need for speed and gives you power:dance:

Its gives full power for a certain amount of time, i think its around 20 seconds when in standard drive mode.

it also proves you drive a series 1 as after that series they stopped that funtion and i cant understand your car being 96:confused:

Mine is a genuine 95 J spec TT and when it was an auto it used to do it. The A/T switch on an auto gear ship panel also locks the power on, locks the box in holding the highest gear possible
