Hi guys, I was trying to plug something into the ciggy socket, could not get an output so i dismantled the area and dis-assembled the connections under the ciggy switch, tried to get a 12v from them with a multimeter but no go, so i put it back together.

Then!!

Went to come home tonight, and no lights! no side, when i go to main, i get full beam only!, Also, i get no lights on the dash, i've looked at the area under the ciggy switch but cant see anything wrong.

Now i dont believe in coincidence, so is there anything in the ciggy switch area that could totally feck up the lights that i could have inadvertently done

Also, quickie, which fuse do i have to remove to kill the AC

Thanks

Rich

You've popped a fuse. It's the top row third from left if memory serves... Down by the loud peddle is where you'll find the fuse box

If you replace the fuse and it blows again the check your wiring carefully, mistakes are easily made on these cars!

To kill the ac I removed the ac relay from the box on the passenger wing under the bonnet.

Fuses!!! why o why are they the one thing i always forget to check...

Thanks guys, it was the "clear lens illumination" one..10A blown.

Once Again, cheers..

Stricker, i've removed the ac relay and the ac fuse from the pass side fusebox under the bonnet, When i press either the "screen" or "Auto" button, the fans still blow, Am i correct in assuming that the compressor side of things just wont work but the blowers do carry on.

Would i have a heating system like a normal non ac car now?

Glad you sorted it matey, and yes the heating etc. Should now work like a car with no ac. The only thing that will not happen is the clutch on the compressor will not engage.

Cheers,

Paul
