Having replaced my seats with leather, I liked the look of the perforated leather centres and decided to get rid of the suede interior pieces I fitted a few years ago.

 

I took off the suede and covered the panels with the same perforated leather that is used in the seats. I was fortunate to be able to contact the manufacturer and have them send me the same leather.

How easy is it to get such a good finish? Did you remove original covering of velour/tweed or leave it on? What adhesive works best? Have just got new leather seats & want to improve the look of door cards, centre console, dash underneath, & glove box etc!!

There are plenty of articles if you search around. I know they are on the US and Australian sites.

 

Yes, I removed the tweed before I did the suede.

 

I used a product call "Quik Grip" but I don't know if that is available in the UK under that name.

 

It is not hard - just take your time.

Nearly identical to the perforated leather I re-trimmed mine in. I havent done the seats though as I am likely to be changing them for Brides or Recaros
