after my new zed starting to run on 5 cylinders, today i changed the plugs, hoping this would cure the problem. just got done, and now it's running on 4 cylinders:cry::cry:

now to try and find some replacement coil packs:cry:

I'd check ALL your connections before you do that. Injector connectors have a habit of becoming easily dislodged and/or furred up with corrosion.

Is it happening all the time or only when warm?

 

I got sick of chasing my misfire, I changed the Coilpack, The injector connectors & the PTU. And still couldn't cure the bugger.

 

Solved it in the end by selling it and buying a Golf VR6 :rolleyes:

 

looking forward to getting back in a Z though :D

thanks for the advice. will check all connections.

when it was running on 5 it was would only happen sometimes, and only when warm. now it's running on 4 i'm guessing i've disturbed something somewhere.

this is my 2nd zed, as i missed the last one when i sold it!

The wiring to the injectors and coil packs can get brittle also, you can get replacement wiring/connectors to splice back in.
