Went to the car auctions today and got...........

 

 

 

 

 

2.5 V6.......It shifts.......

 

Not as fast as the zed but chirst it goes. Full leather a/c cd player electric seats......alot of goodies inside, popped the bonnet now im home and it also has a k and n airfilter. When the car is at around 3000rpm then it sounds like a cougar, just growls at you.

Got 50quid back on my insurance also so im happy.

 

The car has a few nigly bits, when melting my foot to the floor it can stutter alot, think the leads could be dirty what you think? Apart from that thats the only thing wrong with the performance.

 

Inside theres a few sensor faults but everything works perfect.

 

 

Now the good bit............whos going to have a guess at how much it cost me. Has 123k on the clock with 9 stamps in the service book.

 

 

Im happy with my purchase, got a nice powerful car that isnt the best of lookers but its nice for a young guy like myself. So ive now cheered up abit that ive got some wheels again.

is it juddering when pulling away???

i actually really like them but i would have still went for a wee cheap banger and used the extra few hundred for something else but glad to see happy craig back again lol

also is any1 actually bringing a 300 to the next meet apart from ossian? im in the punto craig in the cougar shrek in his daily driver lol

thing is mate, i wasnt able to find any cheap bangers available with mot an tax for much less than 550, so i was happy to pay abit extra and get a car i would enjoy driving......got 50quid back on insurance also.lol.

I know. I was at the auction looking at every banger available to be truthfully honest my brother would vouch for that.

 

But then i was depressed as fook looking at them and thought fook you mike im getting something nice!!!

This had tax and mot and was a beastly 2.5 v6 with full leather.....the works, never had a car like this inside.lol.

tbh Craig I would probably have done the same, when it comes to older 2nd hand cars you always seem to get better deals with larger bigger engined cars. At that sort of price range people normally want small economical motors.

Hope not :(, he's had enough problems. fingers crossed its something like bad connections, plugs or maf etc that are easily fixed.

I don't know if those have a dual mass flywheel. But if it does, it could be that.

The car doesnt have poor idle tho mate, its got good idle.

Its when pulling away and i put my foot down it has a judder...... to be honest, it seems to be slowly stopping but still hapenning. I put fuel injector cleaner in to see if that helps.

 

I reckon the car has been lying for a while so i do as its a perfect years mot and 6months tax, tyres where dirty with underneath so i reckon its been parked up in a field somewhere to be honest.

 

Hopefully the car just needs a good run out to clean itself. Inside is fantastic tho!!! Going to be a big difference going back to the zed.lol.

Sorry mate but i dont like them, when i drove one my head always seemed to hit the roof and i felt uncomfortable. Also they feel fast but they are slow.

 

I hope your Zed is being fixed, you need a real car bud.

Give it a service mate, plugs, oil filters etc and clean up all te connectors and see how she runs then.

if its still running in 3 months good luck to you!:) small run abouts are easier to sell on without much loss i find.

It shoudl most certainly be running in 3months mate, away to manchester tomorrow, and back home on monday in the car so will get a service after that:D!
