Yes it will give you the fault codes

Definitely worth having if you plan on keeping the car long-term. The DTA-Motorsport ConZult does everything that the official Nissan Consult equipment and then some more. To boot it is 100x more user friendly to use and comes with a comprehensive user manual that contains all the fault codes, etc. Of course the software does far more than just report fault codes - it is in fact a real-time engine monitoring system that also allows you to run diagnostics on the engine, A/T gearbox, A/C system and HICAS system - all at the click of a button.

 

There are cheaper alternatives out there but the DTA ConZult is definitely the LAST WORD in Z32 diagnostic equipment.

 

As with all other diagnostic packages - you will need to be able to "interpret" what the equipment is telling you. This may be "hit-n-miss" initially but eventually you will get the hang of it.

 

If you ever take your car to a Nissan dealer for a diagnostic session you're likely to pay in the region of £60~£100 for the privilege and you still won't be any wiser. This means that the cost of the ConZult is recouped in 4~5 visits to a dealer!

 

Lastly, every registered ConZult is backed up by a full support contract and free software upgrades for as long as you own the equipment. You won't find that with any of the other diagnostic kits on the market.

great bit of kit this if your keeping the car:)

its a very handy tool to have but as always its only a guide in most cases and needs to be interpreted correctly.

its not very often i use consult as a rule. and i do this for a living. as many of the faults and problems can be found and recified without its use.

you need to think of how often you would use it.And decide on cost and use ratio.
