this is time for me to moan rant and bloody rave!!!

 

I HATE these door to door beggars! They come more or less EVERY single day and more than once.

 

Every single day I have to tell them 'sorry I dont not wish to donate to your charity/mosque/cause'

 

To be honest, I do not mind genuine causes and I have previously given to and I still have standing orders (for £1/2 only) to causes I personally feel that are worth of donation.

 

But I really really do hate the increase I am noticing in my area knocking and asking money for their mosques. I have so many times said no. I have also told them I do not wish to donate to there cause. Some of them don't speak English and assume I speak Urdu and when I don't get pissed off themselves.

 

I want a sign saying 'DO NOT BEG' or 'F**K OFF' But I never found it on Ebay, I might get some stickers made myself, in Eng and Urdu and anything other language applicable!!! They spoke so rudely to my sister yesterday that today I waited for them to come so I could have a word!

 

Well I will wait again tomoro and show them what i think off them constantly knocking on my door. Rant over :mad:

Tell them that, the time they are spending going around knocking on doors, would be better spent working and the they can give all the money they have earnt to their just cause.

had one knock on my door from an electric company, told them i was with british gas and told them i was staying with them, when i went to shut the door (was very busy and in nomood for them) he tried pushing it back open to keep jabering on, i just shouted for the dog which jumped up at the window and started to bark, he quickly apolgised and shot out of the gate lol

you could always egg them, and to top it off throw flour at them afterwards.

Sales calls, fair enough, we are all trying make ends meat. But trying to push a closing door back open. He wouldn't have been doing any selling for quiet some time if he'd done that to me.

we had someone from barnodos come to our door so i stood and chatted and agreed to donate a fiver a month direct debit. Thought this was quite good of me but within 3 months they were sending letter and ringing asking me to up it to a tenner. I kept saying no, then one day someone rang again and said "are you sure you cant stretch to ten pounds?" i said no and then she said "well a fiver is hardly worth it" so i thought fine and cancelled it.

 

now i just think sod 'em all!!!!!!

I'm afraid that I would have taken that attitude; and done the very same thing as well!!

 

I know some charities are deserving but I cannot stand the way we are emotionally bullied into giving - which is what it is nowadays. I also realize there is a recession on (duh!!:rolleyes:), so I expect that people are giving less of their hard earned away as they struggle to make ends meet themselves. It's hard for them, but that's life so don't "rattle the can" louder as we all have less to live on at the moment. Accept it!!

Does anyone else get the 'ex-prisoners' knocking on their door with a big

bag of crap from the pound shop, trying to sell it to you for a fiver each.

They've all got a sob story to tell, and how they're trying to 'do the right

thing'... they should be on the x-factor.

i had some only the other week knock on my door trying to get me to change energy suppliers, i said no thanks and i told him i wasn't intrested and started closing the door. He also tried pushing the door back open and carried on ranting on! At which point i told him to f#ck off before i drop him!

Just stick a note to your door saying 'no beggars/canvassers/bible bashers' etc. Or even better 'Satan lives within'. LOL I do the last one at Christmas when the carol singers come round! :rofl:

lollllllllll.. sum of the replies made me laugh... definitely the gimp mask.. but unfortunately i dont have one! lol... we dont really get sales people just beggars asking for donations... and it is annoying as hell... i might just kick one of them in the head. or buy a big dog like stellaz. lol
