my auto box is slow in changing gear and if i boot it it hits the limiter for a second and then changes, could it have something to do with the exhaust being 4.5" and 5" exit so no back pressure? i topped up the a/t fluid yesterday and it took about 2 pints and there is a slight improvement. any help much appreciated cheers.

could be lots of things, have a search for autobox problems on here you'll find lots have had similar problems, usual recommendations is to change the oil and clean the strainer, you can do diagnostics have a look in the faq section also.

i have the same problems mate. mine also kicks down with very little throttle.

im sorting it by a manual conversion but id still like to know

wont be your exhaust mate...i had no exhaust on mine for several weeks a while back and it drove fine...if a little noisy :D

worth doing diagnostic first and then changing your gearbox fluid

does it do the same if you select power mode?
