been having thoughts about selling zed to get a tt supra,went with a mate to pick his new supra up from southhampton yesterday,and christ what a motor. coming along the M3 in 6th gear he changed it down to 4th and stuck his foot down and the speed is unbelievable.But i only have a na 300zx, should i go for a tt 300zx, anyone on here had a supra, and if so how would you say they compare.

:(no right hand drive manual aerotop all autos. They were only made for the US market

 

rofl beat me by a minute! Yes all aerotops are Auto's so when you see 1 looks and laugh :smash:

 

TT Manual Supra you are looking at around 8000 for a decent one as most of them are N/A Or Auto's or both! where as you said, you can get a decent Zed and 4k left in your pokcet to match a TT Supra Price for price but the Zed will always win.

Did one in the states, Get an auto one and convert it to manual... but not as easy as it is in the zed so im told

my cousin had a supra and it was awesome although it didn`t start leaving my z til after 150mph and it cost him a lot more to buy and tune

was thinking of getting one but couldn't live with the looks and inside, they have a sexy arse but shite upfront so i went for the GTR:hyper:

YES the do the Areo top in a manual and in right hand drive. But they never did the TT option

 

However there are now a few knocking around :cool:

Stock for stock there isnt much in it tbh not in real life driving anyway

 

The zx however does have better handleing and brakes than the supra so it will out perform it in the twisties but the supra has it on the straights.

 

As for looks. well the zx anyday but the arse end on the supra is sweet

 

 

There prity much the same tbh just depends on what style you want :)

 

It's all down to your own taste really - but you cannot beat the voice of experience! And, since he has both, I'd say Car.Mad is more than experienced to answer the question!! Nice one mate:bow:

 

I do like the Supra (although I prefer the old school Mk3 version) but I don't think it has aged as well as the 300zx. And it was because of the 300zx that the Supra Mk4 was so good - Toyota went back to the drawing board and redesigned it after Nissan launched the ZX:D

Obviously you can get a TT in a manual 6 speed but not the TT aerotop unless its been converted to manual ;) for some reason then never made it?? silly toyota LOL

 

The best thing about the supra is it has forged pistons as standard so you can go to 550-600 bhp pretty easily, mate of mine had a uk tt and took it to 550 bhp for £2k which is amazing bhp per pound

Here was mine, didnt keep it long as it needed work but was a stuidly fast car!!

 

I would have kept it but it wanted to go sideways at any speed so i thought fook this get rid, then got a buyer and while i was getting it ready for sale i noticed the coilovers were set wrong at the back and once set to the right height both sides it was a different car :) but i had taken a depost by then LOL

There is a guy in glasgow (runs chillies takeaway) with a supra (not sure what exact model) that is running at 998bhp!! He's got the private reg to match. He has a few nice motors including a Lister (beautiful) and a couple of zeds...jammy b*stard!

i prefer the zed for looks but its cheap to get the bhp up for less money on a supra but the zed will get in your veins

Is the Supra as reliable as the Ztt?

 

I was very tempted in one too and think that a good one can be easy twice the price of a Ztt. The major attraction of the Ztt was simply it's looks and price - we all know it's not the fastest but it's not all that slow either. Bang for buck it's simply a great deal and if the style works - then why the hell not.
