Some twat took me for £28,000 for some antiques I was buying, I paid and he tried to vanish without delivering the goods (I never got them). I took the little ass to court took 11 months and won. Cost me £16,000 in court costs and legal fees and cut a long story short with interest etc he owes me £48,000. I am having to take charges on his properties now and will probably have to fight it through court to sell one of them. God knows how much longer that will take and how much more it will cost me to collect.

 

Its a lot of bloody money !!!

 

Next £7,000 paid for a wooden outbuilding... got the money went bust.

 

I own a couple of properties that I bought this year two houses and an apartment, two proffesional blokes rent one (gay couple) fully managed through an agent. Two months in I got a letter today... failed to pay rent. Where the frack will it end :mad:.

 

I think people think that because you work hard enough to own a few houses that frickin paying rent is optional. It does not seem to matter that you have to pay the mortgage on these places???. Im so gonna give these *******s 3 months notice at the end of the contract if they last that long. For goodness sakes the house is below market rent, immaculate, and you think these scummers would kind of prioritise paying their rent before spending their cash on some other shit.

 

My Mrs is very pissed off TBH with all this shit going on. At this rate I will need to start my own debt collection company with big dogs and bats :smash:

Speaking to a few of my bro in laws friends and they are seriously looking into doing just that!

 

If you think to yourself it will be a booming business with everybody owing loads of wonga!!

 

I personally don't have the problems you do, however i talk to my bro in law alot and the amount of money he is owed at one time is mental. Like you he owns properties and struggles getting rent and on top of that he has clients who has done work for and then they take forever to pay or just try and get out of it! The amount of problems it causes him and not to mention stress :rant:

Ohh m8 when you rent them out you get loads of people on benefit literally begging for them. A few of them seemed really genuine and nice as well, but for the reasons you stated I was told not to go there, no deposit and normally problems getting paid.

 

A friend of mine processes the claims and said basically they give them the cash, if they dont pay it takes you ages to evict them. Then they have nothing to loose as they re home them to do it all over again. Its not always the people but the system sucks... saying that Im stuck with two proffesionals failing to pay.

ime self employed and have been for 33 years..at any one time per 4 to 8 week period ime owed at least 80% of my actual turnover for the same period,my supplyers want paying every 4 weeks so you dont need to be smart to work out this is a fvkin logistical nightmare..and thats not including my wages bill for a few guys each month:headvswal:mad:..oh then there is the small matter of why i bother in the 1st place i almost forgot,my wages each month:rolleyes: so i know where your coming from about people owing you money all to well..

It's called the politics of envy.... the labour party thinks why should people own properties they don't live in ?

 

So under the guise of trying to educate people who don't have a property to manage their mony, they switched from paying the Landlord who they see as evil, to paying the tenant who they see as a victim.
