Hi guys.

I need some info from the brake gurus on this site as im not to good with this:

Well i have a chance to get hold of some aston martin vanquish brakes at what i think is a good price, £400, what use think?

I need to know about how to go about having brackets made up, is this easy to do? Can anybody on this forum make me brackets?

Also what discs should i then go for?

Also again, most importantly do you think they will fit inside my 18" GTR alloy wheels?

I think these would look really smart on my car to be honest so im very tempted by them.

Some info on them;

BOTH ARE 13CM FROM THE CENTRE OF MOUNTING HOLES

BOTH BACK AND FRONT ARE 4 POT

BREMBO AND RADIAL MOUNT TYPE

ALL FOUR ARE FITTED WITH PART USED PADS

Just need some major help with the above guys would be much appreciated.

cheers

would aston martin vanquish brackets made for an s14 fit the 300zx?

I dont see why not iirc s14's use the same hubs, disc, calipers and pads as a tt z32 (fronts only)

no bother:D

cheers bud, got a guy on driftworks forum maybe willing to make some brackets up, just needs the dimesions for the 300zx calipers as he already has some vanquish ones, so if anybody is able to tell me the dimesions of the 300 i would appreciate it then the chap would be able to make some brackets up.

cheeeeeeeeerrssssss

Here ya go, this is for brembos but the centre two holes are for the 300zx hubs s will suit just fine. By the way unless you deperately want Aston brakes why not just buy some Brembos from an Evo, use this drwaing and your way to go. PAds will be cheaper and you will get a pair of calipers for £150 or so from the mitsibushi lancer register forum classifieds

i just thought that the aston martin brembos would have looked good.lol.

Is the a full set of calipers for £150? all 4?

Is the drawing for the brackets the same for the front and rear? as in i could take that drawing to a company and just ak for 4 of them to be made?

the blue shade............is that a separate bit thats got to be screwed in or is it just cut around that, if you know what i mean?

Drop me an email and I'll give you all the info you need funkyboogalooo at ntlworld.com note the three o's at the end of boogalooo

If they're radial mount they will not mount in the 'conventional' way like our stock caliper/R32/R33/R34/Z33 do.

The bracket needed will be substantially different to mount them.

HTH

Rob.

I just re read, yeh your right radial mount will be totally different but the dimensions for the original caliper mounts will still be the same.

have no idea what you guys are talking about with radial mounts etc?

Radial mount calipers are bolted from the other face to stop flex in the bolt length. So basically the bolts go through the hub and into the caliper along their length so any stress is put on them in their complete length and give less chance of movement.

these are radial mount calipers

no bother.

i sent you an e-mail funky.

Im not much good on the computer but this might give a better idea. The circle is the disc and the orange is the caliper. The black fixings are meant to be the way the bolts would fix from the hub to the caliper in a radial mount so the stress goes thru the length of the bolt. The red dots would be bolt heads in the way a standard caliper fits into the hub. When under stress the standard way may mive the bolts with torque.

Does that make sense?

Yeh ive replied

ok no bother, i got more of an insight look at the chaps thread with the maserati calipers on how the brackets work i think.

well have a look at the e-mail soon:D!

I think those maseraticalipers are the same as the evo brembos

aw ok, my pal reckons ill pay abit more for all 4 evo ones, around 400.
