Do we have any PCSO's on here? I am not speaking for the whole country here, or saying that it applies to ALL PCSO's, but they are over paid useless drains on tax payers money.

 

I work closely with PCSO's and 90% of them are bone idle, and spend there shifts sat in an office supping coffee, or riding around in a Van, instead of getting out and about on foot, and getting to know the local groups of teens, and forming bonds with Shops/bars/schools etc etc, like they are supposed to. they get paid 24k a year for the job, so they should be made to earn it. also around here, there are never any PCSO's on duty on an evening or weekend??? WTF!?! Isn't that when you get most of your anti social problems.

Like I said they are not all that bad, you will get one occasional one, that put's some effort into the job, but not often.

We have a few 3 or 4 around here and i must say they do seem to be doing a good job. They are always on foot :)

When i was a copper, we used to call em wannbecops. Look like coppers, nowhere near same amount of paperwork as coppers, less pay than coppers.

dont have the same powers as coppers.

So if one ever tells you he is going to arrest or search you, ask him has he been sworn in by a judge and is he fully aware of the powers under PACE (police and criminals evidence act) because he will crap himself, when confronted by someone with knowledge.

Aren't the welsh ones the only ones with the power of arrest?? + different counties have different powers?
