Guys,

I know that a dickey plug can cause all sorts of problems on a Z, especially TT's. I read an article in Max Power about Trust making these Iridium tipped plugs which are supposed to be the dogs bollox! Apparently they will keep going for a good five years worth of motoring and provide excellent sparking which increased combustion levels.

Does anyone know anything about these plugs? Can you, or are you able to use these in the 300 as it sounds like a god send to me?

Thoughts? Nico, Henri etc.

there is a debate about that, some people saying they work , other saying they dont.

ill stick with ngk

I have heard of a lot of Cars in Japan using the Iridium tipped plugs and Trust are on the whole a reputable company.

The big stumbling block is Size. If they ain't got the exact size for the Euro Spec (or US spec) Twin turbo in stock then dont even think about and alternative as they will be not work correctly on the Z and you are risking the life of your engine. If they have the correct size then go ahead and try them.

Also from past experience i wouldn't fancy they are too cheap.

Im personally very happy with the NGK ones and see no reason to change at present.

I've been running HKS Iridium plugs (made by Denso I believe) for a year now with success. You can read a review on Denso plugs at www.gr8ride.com (search on Iridium) then follow link "Ignition Basics". "Exploring Z Possibilities" is also worth a look!

Cheers Andrew, interesting reading I must say. Where did you get your HKS plugs from? Can you get these from a UK supplier?

I might give these a try as they seem to be an improvement over standard plugs. Are your plugs specifically for the 300?

=-)

TDi supplied them for my UK TT (www.tdi-plc.com/Technical%20SuperFire.html). I would have thought that there are other suppliers in the UK. The plugs are listed on the invoice as S40i and were £14.50 each.

Try Hiteq in Wigan for the HKS Plugs.

I think they're £87 + the dreaded vat.

Hope this helps,

Andy

I just paid out £90 inc vat for 6 plugs for my twin turbo auto, these are ngk and are very nice, also had a lot of other stuff just done but they had issues being sent the wrong parts for a jap import from reputable sources apparently so I just say beware, they have had her on a ramp for a week now and I miss it like crazy.

Hi,

Dan... Have you cured the vibration problem yet?
