Tyre speed rating

What is the original tyre speed rating for the zed TT ? I'm looking at some 265/30/R19 93W tyres...

Featured Replies

It would have been Z rated (of course:hyper:).....

.....there were no sub divisions on those days - V rated was up to 149mph and Z rated for 150mph+

Now we also have W and Y rated (kind of sub-divisions of the Z rating) which I think are up to 168mph and 186mph respectively. So either will do; although Y rated is probably best.

After all it's not just the highest speed rating, but the whole characteristics of the car. And an un-restricted ZX TT could probably top 168mph!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

This W rating is for speeds up to 180mph, I need to get the car rolling so may just buy these for my rear wheels for now.
