This problem with one cylinder not firing is starting to do my nut in.

It's always #4 pot. I've put a new connector on and OHM tested it. It starts OK every day cold. and will run forever, until you turn it off and leave it for more than 30 mins.

on starting #4 is again not firing.

Do you think it's the PTU?. It has a series 1 PTU on it.

I'll be changing it anyway for a series 2 in due course when I can afford it (Business folded and skint at the moment).

If so does anyone have a series 1 one going cheap. (have to be cheap as skint)

It sounds like the ptu, a common fault of overheating, then work again when cooled down. I say common fault, not everyone will have a problem, but when they do, its likely to be the ptu.

Ill see if i can find my series 1, you can have it if i can dig it out.
