OK kim, you have confused the hell outta me,

you changed my post to this? yet......

Its advertised in the sticky thread here http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=112165

So, excuse me if im wrong here, but shouldnt that thread be closed and deleted?

I missed that thread, it's now been deleted, as I feel it is not fair on our AUTHORISED Insurance Trader, Adrain Flux who pay £100 per year to advertise on these forums.

I support the fact that members have a right to find cheap car insurance, and that AF are not always going to be cheapest. I also have no issue with members mentioning the name of a company from which they have had a good deal from, but members are old enough and wise enough to google that company for details, rather than them being advertised for free on here.

Then Kim, and this is meant with no dissrespect to yourself or the club in general, as a fully paid up and long standing member may I table a motion to not allow an insurance company to have rights to be on this site, as it is in no way a benifit to the members of the club!

If we are not allowed to inform other members of better insurance companies, due to protecting another outside interest, then we are in a situation where the club is no longer a benifit to it's members in that department. This club was set up to benifit owners of the Z32, not here to line insurance companies pockets in a closed market!

I don't feel the same way towards the other traders on here because they offer a diverse range between them.

I'm sure the club can survive without the £100 coming from Adrian Flux, after all I've never known anyone whos had a decent deal from them yet (and they were never any good during my Capri days either!)

I hope this comes across in the way in which it is meant, and not seen as trying to curse trouble ;)

Hi Kim,

Unfortunately, this is not going to benefit owners of z32's, i can understand not wanting to post about deals of unauthorised traders (IE mechanical parts), but insurance groups?

I have to say if it wasn't for that thread then i would more than likely never of found out about lynbrook, so would now be having an insurance deal in and around the £900 mark.

I never bothered with Adrian flux after reading a fair few reviews about them, and not many people had a great deal to say that was very good.

Just out of curiosity, I've just done a quote with Adrian flux, £1300 if i was a subscriber, and got the 15% discount, im still looking at £1105, comparing this to lynbrook @ £278, i can see why Adrian flux is going to be glad you have stuck up for them.

So based on this, i can either subscribe (which i think is around £20), take out insurance from Adrian flux @ £1300 all because they are authorised traders so sounds good because the site is in association with them. with my 15% discount comes to a total of £1125 (that's including the £20 i had to spend on getting the discount.

Or someone could of been kind enough to start a thread about insurance companies to help people get a better idea about little known companies (id never even heard of lynbrook till i see that thread) that got me a really good deal of £278 for the year saving me a massive £847, just so the website can pocket £100 from adrian flux and £20 from me.

Please note this isn't a dig, or a flame or anything like that, i just find it a bit bazaar how in this day and age. people cant help each other on a forum with a bit of information due to one insurance company that in all honesty, isn't really that good, if your not sure about what others have to say about Adrien flux, as suggested, google is your friend on this one and its not hard to find.

Personally if i was this website id research just who it accepts as a trading partner. it takes a life time to build a good reputation, but a few seconds to destroy it.

Please don't think im having a go or anything and i sure as hell don't want this to turn into a flame thread.

If your on about lynbrook, i got quoted on the fact ill have a Thatcham cat 2 alarm, self employed, S/D/P, but not commuting, and also have a second vehicle as my everyday runner, 31 years old, married with kids.

** Please note, the above comments regarding taking out insurance with Adrien flux and also subscribing to get the discount are just examples and if anyone takes out insurance with out fully investigating other companies, i take no responsibility if you lose out on a good deal.

I hear everything you are saying mate. I am not saying that you cannot post up and say that you got a good deal with Lynbrook, what I am saying is that you cannot post up links to websites and contact details to other companies, as we have an obligation to show our Paid up traders some loyalty. people arn't daft, and can do a search for Lynbrook or any other company off their own back etc.

Yep can understand that. glad this didn't turn into a flame thread :)

Anyway, just a quick other question, how much is subscription? had a look, but there are loads of stickys of how to pay, just not how much to pay.

£20 for the 1st year mate, then £15 for the years after that.
