i know there are one or two people on here who have done this job - how easy or difficult was it to do? and where did you relocate it to? reason i ask is because my tyres are actually in contact with the damn thing when theyre pointing slightly to the right

Dave how are you getting rubbing. We have the same wheels, tyres and off set and i am much lower???? :wack:

i like the idea of putting it behind the wheel, very clean job indeed.

i got myself an oil catch tank and bolted it to the back or the rad.

it's an easy job to do even for the not so tech minded people.

great stuff thanks for the responses folks - some good ideas there. silver/iguana, have you made an airtight seal at the neck of your bottle as iirc the stock bottle isn't.

Dave - no idea why mine would be catching and yours not, you cant really tell from the photo but i cant get my finger any further between the two! perhaps my bottle isn't seated properly

Thats weid Dave. I still have my wheel arch liner in there and no rubbing. cannot see my water bottle

the bottle does'nt need to be air tight. the feed from the rad goes into the bottle from the very bottom, and an over flow ( which is open to atmos) is right at the top that runs down to the bottom of the cars body.

Ahh mine must be there as water was leaking out from behind the mud flap yesterday

had it been raining previously?

theres a drain hole behind the mudflap leading from the roof

I have a catch tank, (very similar to silverbullets one, might be the same) for sale if anyone wants it. (sorry for the thread hijack!)

just digging this one up again - how large would a custom catch-tank have to be to hold the average expansion from the rad (a larger rad like the Koyo) and would it just need the one 'input' (for the expansion pipe) plus the screw-cap?
