Brake calliper cleaning Q

Is it ok to clean my brake callipers in my parts washer, using a 50/50 mix of paraffin and engine degreaser? I've tried using a brake cleaning spray but it's not getting it all off.

 

I've got the nissan seal kit, so will be replacing all the seals. Just in case it matters.
