Due to the Zed being a Twin Turbo Setup you will find that a nice pair of Larger Side Mount inter coolers will work best than installing a BIG FMIC! You may prefer to go down that route as these are mainly just for show in a Zed due to the practicality of Bigger Side mounts being the better option

Looks like 2 units welded together horizontally to me! Have you mailed them to confirm otherwise?

It would be good to check how many cubic inches you actually have there and compare with the stock units. Also Charge per square inch, Fin Density, charge side square inch minus fin density all need to be calculated so you can work out the possible pressure drop, temp in/temp out/intercooler efficiency figures. It may look pretty but you may be worse off!

I was considering one of those, but after andy's comment above I'll wait until someone works out the technical bits...

thats exactly what it is, two welded on top of each other and as long as they feed the correct side they will be fine, its more to do with the end tanks and weld quality, they look like a greddy copy which isnt a bad thing ;)

tbh there a long standing trader on ebay with very good feedback.

its one of them, yes it will work fine, its more for looks than performance and an uprated set of side mounts will out perform a copy front mount, if your not looking to go into massive power then the one in your link will still be an improvement over 15 year old battered oem intercoolers ;)

Whats up with two units joined together anyway?,Was good enough for HKS and what do they know:rolleyes:

exactly, the theory is sound, the only issue it whats behind the intercooler hence why hks and the border run the fmic at an angle to allow more air to flow to the rad etc

Yeh the HKS is mounted at a steep angle for optimum air flow.Clever those Japs. Its hard to tell from front views but on side pics of the intercooler fitted its highly visible. My dads car ran a huge Border fmic with no issues of the car running hot till an old dear pulled out on him.
