hello can someone tell me what the detonation senor circiut is fault number 34 it came up on ecu checked again came 55 dont under stand :bow:

sorry put question wrong does the d.s.c have something to do with the spark plugs and there connections

no mate...its role is to put your motor in to safe mode (5psi) if it sensors the 1st signs of detting (metalic rattling sound) and after a fresh engine start it resumes normal boost

is this the knock sensor i have heard about :hurl:

yes it`s the knock sensor, it`s more than likely the loom connected to the sensor as it`s very prone to degradation over the 20 odd years it`s been in situ.You can bypass the sensor provided you are not getting det(sounds like rattling a pepple in a can) use a 1meg resistor to connect the 2 pins on the ecu side of the loom i.e the main harness the connector comes off.This will fool the ecu restoring full boost. do a search for the bypass n get down to maplins or similar.Its very easy to do. hope that helps
