I am not going to post this as if it catches on it will stop working. It is not bent, dodgy, dubious or any thing else. It reduced my quote from £2K for a 24 year old to £1K.

Mail me, I'll mail you back then post your reactions/results.

Don't forget, Mums the word!

On an import too. Very impressive. I was told I would be lucky to get under 2K.

What cover is it?

How old are you?

Is it a special deal?

Phil,

They all try and tell you they've got the cheapest deal.

Go now to the firebond site and you can have an online quote.

http://www.firebond.co.uk

Age doesn't make that much difference either, or if its an import.

Give them a go and I'm sure you'll be boosted.

I just tried that. Add a zero to yours £3K5. Do you guys have other cars in the house hold?

I tried Firebond via the web and got a quote of about £3000, then I rang them up and got a quote of £466 for a 91 import!

Age 25, 6 years NCB, Garage ;) etc

BUT mileage is limited to 6000 per year.

Call em and see what they will do,

Oh, tell them you belong to a car club and they give you a discount.

Cheers for the pointers, I'll ring them monday and see what they can do.

Its only cheap if your car is 10 years or older it is put on a classic car insurance,

There are a few classic car insurances that will give you a very good quote I was paying £330 for my last 1989 zed but now i have a 1994 they told me to get lost, I pay £560 now and its a jap import 1994 full wings west induction and s/steel exhaust and all declared thats with bell direct.

Try em

I have been saving hard for three years now to get my Z. After driving my first and only car for 4 years (1988 peugeot 309 1.6), never ramping it to save on petrol. I have only managed to save £4K.

I have caved in, I can't wait any longer. I am now the proud owner of a G reg Mazda RX-7 TurboII. It's got a new engine, gearbox and turbos.

I am gutted that I didn't get my Z, at least I still have something to aspire to! ;-)

Phil,

(Shudder).....But it's not a Z is it.....

.....You will want one, I give you 6 months till you cave in again and buy that Z.....

.....Trust me, I know.

:o)
