I may have to change the car soon as the miles have racked up on the A4, I still love driving the V6 TDI but the mileage is very high. I need to get a diesel estate next (good job I have a Z for the weekend) but I am not sure what to go for, budget is around £20k for one 6-12 months old.

I like this http://www.virtualcar.it/public/media07/ar07geneve3.jpg

But any other suggestions? No Fords, Vauxhalls, Peugeots or Renaults.

A6 Avant Estate TDi. You can get one that's 2 or 3 year old for well within £20k. I've driven one and they really are nice to drive.

I like Alfas, but they still have a reliability issue and they have the worst depreciation since the Ford Scorpio! LOL

I did wonder about them but the review gave them 4/5 for build quality so maybe they got their act together! V50 is another I like.

Definately the best looking estate car on the market though.

I havent heard of any problems regarding the newer Alfa's.

Stunning looking and less mainstream than the German/Swede boxes ;)

V50R is a great looking car! Quite like S40 (same car).

I do like the new Alfas a lot.
