Just sitting here wandering how many zeds do you think are left in the country? There is always a Zed being broken and scrapped, and i hope none have gone to this scrappage scheme!!! I know Zeds are still being imported but if there is less in circulation that means prices should go up lol

Thinking about it. OK - a rare car Honda NSX - There are about 300 hiding in garages around the country. You never see one, really. I see Zeds 10X more often. That makes it about 10 times in a year.

 

 

I imported 8 300zx's between '02 and '05 and used to see dozens done at the Docks ever time I went there. So at one point in the height, there has to have been loads and loads.

 

Using a NSX as a numbers comparison - and the fact oodle.co.uk which puts together all 300zx's for sale in the UK right now at 161...

 

Got to be 500 -1000 300zx sitting in garages, farm yards, back of auto repair shops in UK -- in state of decay.

Got to be something like 1500+ on the roads... ?

 

but that is just a guess.

If it's correct that there are around 1500, then we are all in a small 0.0005% of the population :D

8 billion Skylines but no Zed's

 

 

I have 3 Z's in my workshop atm ones mine and the other two are customers of mine.

 

My Z was there in the club stands. There was also 1 purple one on a traders stand with a wide bodykit, got some photos of it somewhere but not uploaded em yet!

I can tell you there are around 28.5m cars currently registered in the UK.

 

If it's correct that there are around 1500, then we are all in a small 0.0005% of the population :D

 

 

Has anyone thought that this club alone has 5,870 members, and a lot of people who also own zeds are either on other clubs or just owners and dont know club`s exist, so is this a small indication to how many zeds there are?? correct me if i`m wrong? Ps i realize that not all members on here own zed`s, Does this reply make sense ? or am i talking from my assss? :wack:

Wikipedia states just over 160k produced and around 17k NSX's were sold.

I reckon club numbers can be used as an indicator but that figure is how many people have registered here in total over the past 10 years, rather than current active members / z owners.

 

I'd guess the actual number of Z owners here would be more like 10% of that figure max.

 

...and then I reckon that out of every 1 club member Z I see on the road, I see 2 non-members.

 

So my theory is about 1500 in the UK currently.

did you take into account... if 1 in 3 zeds you see are club members... how many members zeds are 'off the road'. from that we could also assume that for every members car that is off the road, there are another 2... bumps the figure up somewhat?
