I currently have a triple pilar pod but the fitment is not that good can anybody who has one that fits perfectly let me know the make and post pic's if possible so I can compare.

As you can see in the picture there is quite a gap between the pod and the widow, this is the same on the other side of the pod which is then letting in water as it does not push hard enough against the window seal.

the reason it sits like that is because it doesn't have all the mounting points the stock one does. I have never seen one (on any make of car) that does sit right. Ways round it are normally some decent double sided tape to hold it in place.

On my twin one I noticed the same thing so i cut the clip of a oem trim and bonded onto it and it fitted near perfect, however this may not be possible with a triple holder if it doesnt work out correct for the clip to be mounted.

how are the pods secured to the metal A-pillar? the only place mine are attached are at the top, where i knocked a plastic clip into the small rectangular hole, which snapped into place, and then screwed the A-pillar pods into that. it's not 100% snug bit holds really well, both top and bottom

I guess you don't have a spare din slot. You could rip all that off and have a nice neat fitting set of DIN gauges.

I made a start doing this today as not keen on the pillar pods anymore.

T'was the only thing I didn't like about Steve's old Car. Maybe Andy's gonna put it right. :)

I was thinking along the lines of this as I don't have any mini disc's to play in the mini disc player so its's a bit of a waste of space, I like the Defi set but as far as I can see it is two temp and one pressure where I need two pressure as there is no standard boots gauge.

Mine was the same mate. Stick screw in the top hole already there and then drill another hole in line with the clip mount in the A-pillar then use butterfly screws to secure. Fits near perfect now...;-)
