Diag Freezes when vehicle starts

Hi All really need some help, im having problems with my Diag software, i brought the best usb to serial connector because the old one was giving me jumpy results. now they are steady. when i connect with ign on all is fine, but as soon as the vehicle starts the software freezes and the software looses communication with the vehicle and when i try and reconnect it says communication lost?? anyone came across this before??

 

Happens with 4 different types of diag software?
