Hi all, my rear arches are getting worse and its time to get them sorted, anyone got a step by step repair guide? is it best to rub down and fill or cut out and replace?

The rot needs to be cut out and new metal welded in.

The strength of a shell will be seriously compromised if you just fill with filler. Remember your rear suspension turrets are in this area.

Whilst we are on the subject, my uk Z had bubbly arch one side, if I was to cut the section out of my JDM breaker, is it a huge job so get it fitted onto mine?

its just the welding the proplem because of the sound prof material on the inside.

just make sure you remove it around the area to be welded.

There is a guy who advertisers rear arch and sill repair sections for the zed on ebay every now and again , maybe someone on here might have a contact number bud . HTH
