Right, did ECU test and found passanger side (left) sensor needs replacing. Ordered and arrived but how in the hell do you get it out, i've tried with crowsfeet, long socket, various extension bars and elbows(all with battery removed) but it still has not budged.

There are 2 tubes going into bulkhead i think are for the heater matrix, is it ok to remove these or do they hold water??? think job would be a lot easier with these off

Or if anyone near newcastle fancy giving me a hand, i'd welcome that too;)

The pipes to the matrix hold water, so not a good idea to remove, unless you are going to flush the rad/water system.

They are a pig to get to, but heat usually helps, you can either run the engine for a bit to get hot, which will help the metal expand and make removal a little easier.

Or spray some wd40 or similar around the top of the sensor to try and soak the thread. There is a spray, cant think of the name, ........ease that might help.

Try searching threads, im sure this has come up before.

will do a search again and see if i can find anything else, tried heating car, (stupidly handled crowfoot when i took it off too and caused the biggest blister i ever had lol) and WD with no luck, i just can't seem to get anything into a possition where i can give it a good hard yank

You can get propper O2 sensor sockets and they'll undo from the top. Used that on mine and replaced the both.

21mm crows foot socket, or you could smash the top of the sensor to get a socket over it, if you are replacing it anyway

tried both these methods but cant get in to turn it, i've cut the wires off and got a 22mm socket onto it but it sits too close to bulk to get the ratchet on plus those bloody matrix pipes lol if i didn't have a shaved head i'd of pulled all my hair out bu now:headvswal

Use a long extension bar to avoid hitting the bulkhead, i have a huge extension bar with a big handle, that would crack anything( including fingers lol)
