I'm off to see the doctor tomorrow. My health has started to go down-hill a little. High amounts of fatigue and other stuff that loosely resemble symptoms for diabetes.

Always tired, not just a little tired like some people get, but very groggy and drowsy all the time and it's been slowly getting worse over the last month. Vision is sometimes blurry. Waking up in the night to go to the toilet. Just really not feeling right at all.

Just wondering if anyone else has been diagnosed with diabetes in their late 20s/early 30s. What sort of things did you experience?

may sound bizarre but whenever i OVER-sleep i get groggy, like when ive got a couple of days off work with nothing to do - going bed late, getting up late - i get so lethargic. on the flip side of that, I often do my main gym session on Wednesdays - famously (at least for me) the lowest point of the week - I always have to force myself to go to the gym, but as soon as I get started I feel great and all the tiredness goes, and needless to say i have a cracking nights sleep from then on!

my mums diabetic usual syptoms I think (prior to treatment) wanting to pee a lot, tired another guy I know diagnosed had like blistery things on his winkle too(he told me I didn't look) then he went to docs and was told after testing also rapid weight loss is a sign (Ithink poss hair loss too)

I'm a full blown Diabetic mate....have been for about 5 years. Anything you need to know just give me a shout

Well, I have noticed hairloss, quite rapidly over the past 3 or 4 months and my fatigue has been getting worse particularly today.

Not especially, although I've been getting dry mouth, just not necessarily thirsty.

If your near emmersons anytime pop in and my wife said she will test your suger level for you

Thanks mate, appreciate it. Will see what the docs say tomorrow and it might be good to maybe monitor my blood/sugar levels to see if there are any changes.

Hair loss wasn't a problem I had. If your sugars been high for a while, fatigue will be a problem. The other main indicator is your eye sight. Mine deteriorated quite badly, I struggled to red anything at a distance. And the other stuff mentioned already, Constant thirst, going to the bog a lot. And the worst thing which has already been mentioned is I thought my cock was gonna drop off.

Hello Si, im not a doc but i do work in the medical profession, high level fatigue, groggyness + drymouth, are symptoms of many different types of disorders, you may not necessary have diabetes, but vision blurryness can be quite specific and since it is gettin worse you may need bloods taken and a through examination, hence wait what your GP advises, and take it from there... Hope that helps.. Best of luck! Shaz

Don't know for sure and you are best to see the doc, but that said it sounds like depression to me. I've had it for the past 5 years and feel like you've said all the time. Are you taking zopiclone?

Thanks guys.

Dave, I did take Zopiclone for a while, but they're sleeping tablets. I'm not taking anything now. I've been through depression before, this feels totally different. I've been feeling a bit dizzy this evening and look quite pale and feel faint.

I don't feel down in the dumps either, quite the opposite, just completely exhausted.

Feeling pale and faint is a sign of low sugars (unusual as it's usually high when first diagnosed) however feeling exhausted is a sign of high levels

Shame you weren't oop North I could have tested your levels for you.

Go to your GP, they can tell you in 30 seconds if you are or not. In fact I took my little boy to A&E to have him tested the other day as he had symptoms. was in and out in 15 minutes and thankfully he was clear

They have instant ways of testing then! Well, I think I may have it which is why I need to get checked out. Bit worrying. Whilst I have asthma as well and have suffered bouts of depression in the past, my health has been very very good. I guess at times we take this for granted until something happens!
