Well it's been almost 3 weeks since I bought PhilP's blue UK spec car.

Today I have been doing a few bits; like......

Fitting some Mania Vortex wheels - Thanks Dave (EvoluZion3)

Removing the "carrots" and replacing them with some clear side repeaters

Removing the orange from the indicators (I got it right this time;)) - and a big thanks to JeffTT for the replacement following my daft moment on Sunday:wack:

Fitting my numberplate now that DVLA has completed the transfer.

I still need to fit my new 99-spec rears, have the a/c fixed (new condenser needed) and get it in the body-shop to have the driver's door and n/s rear wing sprayed. Oh yes, and clean it!!!

Here are some pics so far - they were taken on my phone so apologies for the quality......

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Heh heh heh - cheers buddy:rofl:

I reckon that red is still the best colour for a 300zx - and I do still miss the old one:tongue:

But I'm getting to grips with the new one now; and the ribs aren't too bad, suprisingly, after heaving around the jack/wheelbrace/wheels....

Looks good Richard, but get some better photos up! Upload them to photobucket as the attachment uploader on here does a miserable job of re-sizing. :)

Cheers Pete. The paperwork went out 1st class today so you should get it tomorrow....:hyper:

I've got one exactly the same sitting on my drive outside

And it's the same reg as mine too - you must be a man of good taste.....:p

looks awesome mate! really suits the colour!

Thanks Dave - I'm really pleased with the wheels. Thanks for sorting the delivery etc; they were nicely packed and arrived promptly as well:bow:

I will do Si - once I've fitted my 99-spec lights and had the small paintwork issues sorted; then I'll upload some decent photos in the appropriate section....

.....Oh and after I've given it a wash and polish.....

I think I should come round and take some arty shots for you. :)

When are you driving down to Cornwall with Julia next?

Hey Si,

You're more than welcome mate!!

We're down there next on September 5th for a week. And I do intend to take the Z; so if you're around on either 5th or 12th we could take a detour off the M5!

You won't even need to take much of a detour. I am litterally 2 miles from J24 of the M5! I should be around that weekend, yes.

I'll see you then Si.....

I like its look , nice and standard ish, amazing how a changing wheels can change the look instantly. After looking at the rear, needs slighlty bigger zorsts, and small lowering on the back, and 99 spec lights would finish.

Good clean one regardless mate.

Looking good - now you've changed the plate and carried out the mods I'm hard pressed to see my old car. What's the story with the air con condensor?

What is it with everyone getting blue now! I wanted to be unique LOL! Only joking :P

looking good, but get those tyres blacked quick! I find it makes such a big difference.

Hi Phil,

When the a/c man came round yesterday he did a couple of checks before carrying out the re-gas and discovered that the condensor had a slight leak. He reckoned that was the reason it needs recharging, so didn't want to fill it only to leak again!

I'll try and get the car to Jeff at Zworld so that he can fit a replacement one - and he can also re-gas it while it's up there.

Hi Stu,

I have the 99-spec rears ready to fit. I was planning on doing that once I have had the minor paintwork bits sorted........

I know, mate - I always do that when I clean the cars;)

Thanks for all the positive comments guys; it's a nice tidy, original UK spec and I'm very pleased with my purchase..!!
