dont get me wrong this is my 3rd 300 and i love them.

there's no question about the tunability of the soop - ive never driven one so i cant comment - i guess the guy's comments were that the Z comes together as a better overall package (in HIS opinion) whereas the soop would be more of a straight-line monster. again, this is just my interpretation of his comments ;)

and Toyota postponed the release of the supra, as the zed was a much better car. They had to build a Supra that would compete.

It is biased. In my experience the Z and Supra are near on identical in performance and most areas, and choosing between them comes down to which you simply prefer more than anything. Which for me is the Z.

Shame the Supra is so damn ugly! The worst dashboard known to man!

I liked watching it....... but would call it an advert as opposed to a review.

My personal opinion (which is why I fell in love with the Z as a kid and why the 350Z/370Z/GT-R are in some ways so disappointing) is that it is simply beautiful, classy and timeless in a way that very few cars (apart from Ferraris). When you then add the interior, which again is one of the most beautiful ever created, then visually there really is very little competition.

 

That for me is what makes it different from almost any other car on the road.

 

As FunkySi said, and no offence to any owner (only if you also own a Z), but the Supra so, so ugly. That front reminds me of that terrible Corolla that was released in 98, and that alone means it should not be on the same Car Park as the Z...

its a shame the zed isn't as tunable cause this is where it takes a battering and why everyone is supra mad. the looks inside and out on the zed are not touched by the other jap cars as for performance i cant say because all the time i had my zed i'm sure it wasn't running at full tilt, but everyone says the supra is faster

I have to admit that the reason I bought a Zed was 99% because of the way it looks, that fact that it's also rather fast I consider a bonus! I do consider it only slightly below the likes of ferraris etc when it comes to looks, which is why I really hate it when people abuse them by putting bodykits and pram handles on them, you don't see people doing that to their Ferrari or Lambo.
