There is 1 general rule as a seller on ebay, you have no rights and ebay will always take the buyer side, sorry to hear about the Knob that bidded on the car, might be worth a second chance offer to next in line if its not too low.

good luck whatever you decide

sent an email to the second bider lets hope he comes for it,its only £20 lower but now maybe nobody comes for it and i needed the money like yesterday! :( fookin wonk stain really!

I've had a few idiots over the years do this that was cars on all occasions too. So much for ebays statement "you are entering into a binding contract"

it's gone shite as hell nowadays. I sell games on their quite often and it seems to keep capping my postage to only allow free postage on these items....... which means the full cost if you incorporate it into your item(postage fee used to bypass the fees on sale of item) goes through as a final selling fee giving ebay more commission. Plus sellers can't leave negative anymore which leaves you vunerable to dic#heads who don't read listings properly and take it out on the seller because they are f#ckwitts.

For private selling ebay is nearly dead in the water

yeah wtf has gone wrong with ebay! :( they just got too big for their boots and think theyre a world power or something! :slap: agree 101% with Dan - ebay will side with the buyer every time, yet they always say that its the sellers that make up the community! i pointed this fact out to them when i complained to them once. no response. ****ers.

customer's always right even when he aint buying anything they should have a percentage fee charged to thier paypal if they break contract written into terms and conditions IMHO

Car selling is generally a PITA. If you put them on Autotrader you get loads of calls from tossers who want to talk about the fine end of a fart. They waste half an hour of your time and then never show up for viewings and have a 101 reasons why they are not there.

As for Ebay, try this,. Put a car on for a buy it now price of £10,999.00 and tell them the reserve is £10,500.00. Put the reserve at say £9,000.00 and I will guarantee you will have a winning bidder. Then will come the excuses, "I put in the wrong amount", "I didn't realise it was a 3 litre" etc etc. Anything to get out of it. Do you want to know why they do this?. They are sad losers and have nothing better to than dream about things they cannot afford and they get some wierd self satisfaction from bidding up and up thinking they will never have to buy it. It works, I just wish I was there to see their dozy mugs when the "you are the highest bidder and the reserve has been met" message comes up.

Death to them the plebs.

OOHH I love a good rant!!.

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

ebay are definitely rip of merchants. I have now idea how anyone is now making money selling anything, unless ofcourse you get the item for free in the first place...
