i am getting so pi55ed off with this online the lag or delay thing. i shoot someone and it doesn't kill them, i sneak up on a guy and knife him from behind he don't die but i do, then the replay shows i never got a shot off or hit the guy and the guy i stabbed was standing meters away facing me shooting WTF i was behind him FFS. does anyone else get this on any system and why is it doing this i feel like selling them cause it is so annoying

Are you playing using a wireless connection? Xbox, ps3 or PC?

If its Lagg then its your Internet connecction. What kind is it? WHen you bring up Score in game what does your Ping/ Latency say??

Check your link speed in the game. Unless it's full green I know I'm gonna get a dodgy game.:headvswal

sorry forgot im on xbox through wireless but does the same if wired, ping shows one bar down from full, i'm on 8meg

Check your connection speed. I'm with Sky and they have a system that "tunes" your profile....AKA limit your speed. Link below

My connections fine, people I know talk about this all the time, its the reason I stopped playing them, the kill cam makes you out to be a liar every time!

Also every server has a cheat on the PC which just ruins it totally.

wired connection is much faster than wireless. might be worth turning off wireless capability of your router as an experiment in case someone is stealing your megahertz!

i used to be a keen BF2 player, but that lag sounds like your seconds (if not minutes, lol!) behind whats going on! ideally you want a ping of less than 100 (well, ideally you want a ping of 1, but that would make you teh pwner lol!111!)

I know what you mean. Americans always complain when a Brit gets on as for some reason it would lag.

 

Infinity Ward have done a decent job of ironing out the glitches but there are still loads out there, WAW is the worst, it's full of under map glitches.

 

Sadly it will be the same when MW2 is launched. A great game ruined by players who's only concern is points.

Paul I play in a server with no kill cam, and what kind of cheats are in all the servers, thats news to me. I generally play daily in a Free For All server where we kick/temp ban/ban the tossers who spoil the game with spawn killing etc. What servers are you playing in?

 

With regards the lag is it not possible that you are playing in American servers as I have heard of people in USA playing in our servers getting major lag and also people in Australia the same. If poss can you not play in the uk servers.

I am really on about is overall, I played cod4 on ps3 for about 3.5 days which was ok apart from the odd kill cam 'eh?'. cod 4 on pc was a joke it was head shot after head shot although played for about the same as ps3, the servers I went on all had a ping of below 60 I made sure of that.

I played cod 5 very little although I bought both for pc and ps3 didnt play cod 5 on pc at all on multiplayer.

Not played cod for a while now been busy with other stuff.............

I get this quite often too, more on WAW though. I use a wired connection on my Xbox 360. Bloody annoying! What boils me more is how there is no feature to play a map you WANT! It chucks you into a map sometimes without even a load screen only to find I hate that map, so come out of it, reload and it puts me straight back into the map I just left....repeat cycle about 5times before controller flies across the room and power is turned off for another week!

it's not the connection ive had all cod 4 and 5 on xbox ps3 and wii and i have a 20mb cable connection and i get the same problem on all of them, pi55es me off too. the worst is getting into a map half way through, leaving and then it puts you back in the same map...why do i want to play a game thats half done!!! its done this to me 5 times in a row before i just selected a different game

new problem today and yesterday my and my bros play co-op zombie and it lags badly then one of us gets kicked out and cant join up again, read on the internet its a common problem whats with these games:headvswal:headvswal

I can honestly say i have had no trouble on my 360.
