Hi i was just wondering if anybody else's 300 has my problem, after driving for a while (not even long, bout 10/15mins) it gets REALLY hot! under the hood and from under the car, the temperature needle works fine and it DOESENT overheat it sits in the middle, but the heat coming from under the hood and under the car is really hot, like when i open the door and put my foot out i can feel the heat if im wearing shorts, and it just seems a bit weird, is this normal for a 300? or does anybody have or have had this problem??? help plz!

i would strongly reccomend fititing an Aftermarket water gauge. The stock gauge is not linear, It will not leave half way till the temp is over 104 degree's .... = too late.

Its hard to judge from a description over the net , but it could be running hotter than normal.

Mines the same and on datascan the temps were a normal 80 ish degrees, there's not really much airflow around the engine bay but obviously it ok as mine is 20 years old still runs fine albeit a little brittle in places.

Hmm, could this be the solution to those mid-morning hunger pangs? ;)

Normal bud, just dont have aircon on while stuck in traffic,it gets hotter! Not good.

Mines was pritty hot the other day under under the cd player.....around where my calf was when having my foot on the foot rest. but also seems pritty hot under the hood aswell.

I have also had a HEAT problem which I have just posted in this thread

Although this may be "normal" is there a way to significantly improve the cooling as driving around with the air conditioning off seems a bit of a cop out. (Especially on a hot day in stationery traffic!!)

Any ideas guys? - Cyrus
