Well was heading down to Mikey Beans this morning, set off at about 3am on the motorway. Drove about 50miles and........bang, smoke everywhere, couldnt see a thing, hazards on and onto the hard shoulder.

Phoned the RAC who sent out a contract company who have impounded my car the F***ing twats. Told me they cant deliver roughly until about tuesday.

 

So im phoning the RAC to boot there footballs as i am a full member and paid for the car to be taken to its destination, not to be stuck in an impound for 4days. Really really getting worn down by this, everything sjust testing my pacients with the zed now.

 

So anyways i have a car sitting in a crappy impound with alot of expensive rebuild equipment in it.....not happy!!

cheeky fookers, it was sold spares or repair, and was told not to drive it much as all fault were expalined

 

as for unluckiest, it always got me to work and back, ive seen far worst zeds and they are supposed to be great ones

 

so it finally went then eh craig lol, at least it will cost less in fuel getting it down there

YEah finally went and in style....i havent drove the thing since i got it home from yours.

YEah just filled her up too, id rather have drove her down tho and aloud the work to start now instead of waiting days for it to be released as it would probs have been finished by then.

tis a bit cheeky of them to do that, i would demand it went down today as it was due to have work done and its costing you for every day its not there

I have never heard of a car being impounded by a recovery company, I would say "I am having to pay for the mechanics lost time so will be forwarding the bill to you!" the threat of extra costs usually gets them moving again.

i'm sure instead of impounding it they should've delivered to your chosen destination, no? Not sure about RAC but AA definately have done with me in the past. good luck

It was a contract company of the RAC that came and got me.

Im fuming!!! I am going to use that one on saying im paying for a mechanics time.

 

I think it was taken there as they guys on shift where about to finish and stayed locally. So he probs didnt want the drive down to doncaster.

 

Just off the phone to the RAC and they are chasing it up to find out why my car has been impounded etc etc.....so atleast they are trying to figure out whats going on.

Seems to me also that the company who got it dont want to work weekends.lol.

Gutted to hear it Craig and sorry to hear it didnt make its destination! But it was running on borrowed time!

Jimmer has the knackered engine out of Craig's old zed aswell.....plenty of options if the bottom end has exploded!

Well..............

 

Phoned and said what you guys where syaing about mechanics time, saying i will take them to a small claims court to be reimburst for my expensices and mechanics wages and equipment hire etc and i brought up about the RAC on what the declare and whats in my book. That they promise to deliver your car to your destination etc. So Within the hour...they have employed somepne to go and collect my car from the compound and deliver it down to mikey bean so the rebuild can begin tonight.

Looking forward to all this now, been given alittle bit of hope:D!
