you could do it yourself and save a fortune there is a guide on here if you fancy getting your hands dirty

Does anyone know of somewhere reasonable in the herts region that will replace my cambelt and an approx cost?

Personally I'd make the trip to Jeff at Zworld.

He has a fixed price for that job; which could end up costing you hundreds in the hands of an inexperienced garage.

Hemel Hempstead.

Is it quite reasonable to get to the belt? I've done a v6 Rover which was a nightmare because it was a transverse engine.

where in herts are you.

Just seen i've been a naughty boy. Sorry, didn't realise was trying to help out that was all, will not happen again.

What did you do that was naughty? Ask for location?

No it wasn't that mate.

Anyway hope that info shows you a little of what is involved and somewhere on here Jeff has posted many pictures showing some very important factors to consider when doing a cambelt swap.

Good luck with it anyways. ;)

Cheers

no, i said i could do it, but not allowed to recomend myself. Would deff recomend my best mate tho. He did work at Marshall Nissan in Cambs (so Knows what hes on about) . Now works in Stretham, Cambs garage called Autosouce, only other person i would trust to leave my zed with and walk away. Dont know much would think a couple of hundred would cover it.

I phoned Zedworld today and they said they change the stat, inlet hoses Anti-freeze as well as the cambelt...£265 + Vat + tensioners/aux belts @ £29 each if needed.

I'm mulling it over but don't really see any other option..

Least you'll know it's a job done right mate. Plus they will check for anything else in the engine and make sure it's all running as it should do, you'll be impressed as soon as you get there :)
