heres an email i got back from an advertised car.

Hello and sorry for the late reply,

I am emailing you regarding the 2004 BMW 320 Cd that we have for sale.

The car is in excellent condition, with 78k miles mainly motorway, non-smoker, never been involved in any crash, no scratches, everything works as it should.

The full service history is available, full HPI check, MOT April 2010/Tax until December 2009. The car is currently located in Cardiff. The price that we are asking for this car is GBP 2800.

We have recently relocated to Dublin where my husband got his temporary job transfer. We will be staying here for the next year and therefore we need to make some financial arrangements..so we've decided that the BMW must go.

A few days ago a person told us that she is very interested in purchasing so my husband had to fly back to UK to close the deal. Since we trusted his word, my husband came all the way to Cardiff the next day and met that person but the guy turned up with £500 less than the asking price... the problem is not about the money that my husband spent for the plane tickets.. but he lost 2 working days for nothing. Time is very precious for us as we are involved in some major events right now and don't have too much time at our disposal; we are a serious family and this person really disappointed us...

Since we've been disappointed once, this time we want to make sure that you are seriously interested in buying this car before we meet and my husband will fly to UK only if we have an assurance of your intentions. Of course it will be no problem if you decide not to buy the car. But we want to be sure that you will be there to meet my husband and handle the deal in a civilised manner.

If you are still seriously interested in going further with the deal let us know.

Cheers,

Amanda

P.S. Here are some pictures of the car . Just click on this weblink:

fookin ell £2800 for that, if you didnt think it was a scam from the start you want ripping off lol

if it sounds or looks too good to be true then it probably is lol

Yep, utter bullshite scam!

Saw one myself recently for a Merc CLS. They'd "relocated" to Spain but had an "agent" who would deal with the money transfer.

am i being scammed? 320cd for 2800?

I cant believe that you or anyone else would think for one micro second that this was for real.

FFS. Every BMW dealer in Britain would buy this car instantly for cash if it were true and put it on their forecourt for £8k or whatever it is really worth.

PMSL:rofl: if that was ever true it would have to have like a 900cc engine under ir or the chasis will be bend in all places.

defo scam.
