1) fix the damn rattling from behind the air vents somewhere - turns out that the plastic 'crossmember!' that goes behind the vents had snapped in the middle, and the two pieces were bouncing off eachother as i drove. bit of tape fixed that one :D

2) my demist button had fallen off last week for no reason whatsoever, and could i find where it had gone? i was driving through the countryside at the time so i couldnt follow it with my eyes for fear of losing concentration on my driving! thought it had gone through a small gap in the bottom DIN, so i had a good rummage behind there while the centre console was out, but i couldnt find the damn thing. after a bit more searching, it had worked its way down the left seat 'buttock', and so armed with a pair of tweezers i managed to rescue it

3) re-seated my Apexi geforce sensor, as it had become dislodged over time and was probably reading incorrectly (as if its accurate in the first place!)

4) got funky with my new bottle of Captain Tolley's to see if it can plug up some of my targa leaks

i also intended on replacing the forward dash vents (the ones right under the windscreen) - how do these come out? they look like theyre snapped into place with some tiny bits of metal. i didnt want to force them too much for fear of cracking them. ive got some sexy carbon fibre-look ones from w1ng to go in

and i wanted to replace the black T-bar cover as mine has bared at the front over the years, but i'll have to rummage around to see if i can find the right tool for removing those screws that are sat beneath the lip

...oh and how the chuff do you remove the rear view mirror? i tried pulling off the black plastic cover below the stem of the mirror but again i didnt want to snap anything

^edit, i think ive worked it out based on fiddling about with the replacement one waiting to go in :D

  better out than in i suppose! if i hadnt found it then eventually it would have found its way up there! :hurl:

The black cover needs to be prized out slightly, if you have strong finger nails its possible, you need to pull outwards towards the side windows from the back of it then towards you, this is done as sitting in the car. Failing that if you break it I have a spare one.
