There i was with my mate today out enjoying the sunshine and rekindling my love for the 300zx when matey boy pulls behind me in a beaten up 5 door corsa b revin the nuts out of it, i laughed as you would and floored it! then about a mile down the road hes back behind me again and im just pootling along and he overtakes me so then i drop it down a gear expecting to go rocketing past! but no, i was actually struggling to keep up with the little scrote! so i kept chasing the little fooker hoping i could catch up with him and ask what the fook hes got under the bonnet, by the time i got near him i arrived at my destination, let the sod go and swollowed my pride. Me and my mate were sat in the pub for the next couple of hours trying to figure out what engine he had in there? could a redtop engine in a corsa be that quick??

Could have had the vauxhall 3.2 V6 in it. Kicks out about 211bhp (before tuning) and makes the corsa a rocket.

They have a different note to the VG30 v6 but yes, it would have sounded like a v6

fast enough to keep up with a zed? off the line maybe but i would have thought the zed would paste a corsa between 40-70?

it was a 2.0l 4pot that was highly tunable,compared to the normal 2.0 ecotech. Getting a bit old now though

Could have been a ratty LET. There are a few people around who buy a crappy looking Corsa and dump an LET into it. Doubt it would have been an XE unless it was on TBs.

It was horrible and chavy thats the worst part lol lexus lights, 5door, poorly fitted gsi front bumper etc, i would of liked to met him on an open ring road now that would of been fun. Trouble is it didnt want to push to hard aswell because we were on a quiet stretch of road and at one point doing nearly 120mph and i still wasnt getting much closer to him!

There is an old guy not a million miles away from me who has a V6 Corsa, fook me its scarely quick ! Even my 5.7 Hemi Engined Ram will struggle in a straight line till 120mph !!

He cant tow 5 tonnes tho, or get out a muddy field !:cool:

calibras also have them aswell as turbo cavaliers e.t.c.

 

theres a guy near me running a very old looking corsa with a calibra turbo who raced a friend of mine, with a evo 9 whos running a proven 380 bhp and he lost not sure how lo,. The corsa was running around 350 and he fitted a type of traction control to it? he said he spent around 8000 pounds getting it to the level it is.

 

it even says diesel 1.5 at the back of it lol.

 

hes an idiot though as he purposly (sp) gets in front of other turbo/ fast cars to make them race him....:xxx:
