Ok, having a nose around whilst looking for the fusebox (still not found lol) I found the ecus, under the passenger footwell. Upon inspection, I see that mine has a sticker on it, with a big "AS", and "tuning by select" underneath.

 

I've done a google search with no luck. Can anyone shed any light on this for me?

that would make sense, as the car lived down that way for a couple of years...
