Hi guy I hope you can stop me hating my 300zx.It won't start and there is no spark from any of the plugs.It had a series one ptu but I figured I should get the series 2 ptu to avoid the situation again. Can anyone tell me how to rewire my loom to take the series 2 ptu. I have series 2 connectors ready to be soldered on.Please help me :bowdown :bowdown

When you say you have series 2 connectors, do you mean you have the plugs for the PTU, but not the adaptor loom section.... ie; someones cut them short!

 

If so give me until tomorrow when I'm back home and I'll dig out my colour code conversion chart that I made when I converted mine to the series 2 plugs directly to the original loom.

This is a nice conversion, simple to do and cuts out another potential failure point, especially as you are expected to connect to a plug that could be as much as 19 years old!

2) Red White Stripe/Silver - Blue/Silver

3) Red/Silver - Green/Silver

4) Red Green Stripe/Silver - Red/Silver

5) Red Yellow Stripe/Silver - Yellow/Silver

6) Red Blue Stripe/Silver - White/Silver

7) Black/Silver - Black/Silver___ (Goes to Plug Two on PTU)

 

Plug Two;

 

1) Blue Yellow Stripe - Pale Green/Silver

2) Black Blue Stripe/Silver - Grey/Silver

3) Blue White Stripe - Pale Blue/Silver

3a)_______________________________ (Black/Silver wire from Plug One goes in this position on PTU Plug Coupler)

4) Blue Red Stripe - Purple

5) Blue Brown Stripe/Silver - Light Brown

The part number is different 2202097E00,bought it on ebay.Can you please tell me the how to wire it by quoting which colour wire from the loom go to PTU pins E1 to E6 and pin 1,2,3,G,4,5,6 of the other plug.Sorry for being a pain in the ass.:headvswal
