Whats wrong here then, simple tech game

Needless to say the engine this turbo came from was smoking like an old steam train, see whats wrong?

 

Incidently never found the missing bits, not even down the exhaust?

    i can't really tell from the pictures but i take it the shaft has snapped off?

     

    Mmm...yep, weird that I could not find the missing parts, must of made one hell of noise when it let go.
