July 21, 200916 yr Author nope, i read another post on a google site saying that if its a big amp, which mine is 4000 watts, then i need a thick poer cable as it need more power, so i take it cus my power lead is like a string of spaggetti, that when i put my foot down there isnt enough power getting to the amp maybe?? and so amp shuts itself off.

July 21, 200916 yr cap is easy, just have posotive from the battery to the + on the cap, then another seperate wire from the + on the cap to the + on the amp (so 2 wires on the +) the - on the cap just goes to the earth of the car then.
