Managed to whip my entire EGR out last night in about 90 minutes: With Engine in: Plenum OFF:
The secret is this little baby: or similar.
Allows you to get at those pesky 12mm bolts and with an extension handle - break those mothers free :p And that was on my 1990 ZED - not bad I thought!
I have read somewhere (Maybe Aussie site) that the EGR bolts are 13mm - thety are def 12mm - just posting cos I know a lot of folks are considering doing this.
Hardest part is still the 22mm on the exhaust manifold - I cut mine off flush with an angle grinder, and drilled and tapped a thread into it the remainder, and then plugged it forever with an M12 bolt.
