Both are installed, the ebc says 1 bar and the gauge says in.hg/psi and goes up to 30 but on full boost goes up to 10

im no expert when it comes to setting up boost controllers, but im currently in the process of tweaking mine to get the boost i want. a gain of 45 looks high, and i think the set and start on yours need to be higher. but be careful when making changes, and testing them out!

Thanks for that, I will have a go at it again soon, I want to run at 17psi too but wont be doing that untill it goes on the rolling road. I have been looking at your thread, would adjusting mine to the same settings as yours cause damage or would I have to gradually do it?

well you have a similar spec to mine - but each engine runs differently and the same settings on one E-01 may give different results to another - the difference in turbos between ours will probably be the biggest cause of differing performance with the same settings. and mine arent right yet. the best thing is to follow the advice that was given to me in my thread - tone it down (especially your gain!) and build it up run by run.

check your Gauge piping for any leaks but i would say as electrical measurements will be more accurate over your Mechanical Gauge so you probably are running 1bar (14psi) but if you have a leak in the gauge piping that could be why its only showing up as 10psi!

You have a very similar set up to what I had on mine.

First check to see what wastegates you have and what they are set to. The default for the hks ones (JWT530bb's) is 13psi.

ย

We couldn;t get mine past 13psi to start with but it's all about adjusting the gain. Once you start increasing boost by adjusting the gain, keep going and eventually you will get there.

I had a go at it yesturday, it is now Set 45 Gain 8 and Start 0, its reading on my gauge 12 psi and it pickes up nice and smooth. At first I did set it the same as Evoluzion3 Set 75 Gain 14 and Start 9.10 which gave me a shade over 15psi and by christ it went like a rocket and it shit me right up, turned it down straight away as I dont want to increse it untill it goes on the roaling road, I did have a go at turning the start up a bit but the acceleration seemed more gradual and less violent.
