I've been trying to help a mate with his bm, trouble is the last keeper pulled all the relays out+ i cant find any info on what goes where.

By trial+ error it now runs,but with only speedo, rev counter is erratic+ fuel gauge, temp gauge + miles are not working.

Any ideas??

Do you know if its an M20 engine (little 6) or an M50 engine? Id say on an 88 it'l be an M20 but you never know :)

 

Ive fired up TIS and having a look through, if i find anything i shall let you know.

 

Okay tis not too helpful, without knowing the exact nature of each of the problems.

 

Here is a list of all the relays possible on that car, (assume its a manual saloon), I dont think very helpful but might give you an idea if youve got some part numbers

I have the info. Are you 100% sure it is a 98 525i - my program is not listing it until 2000, but give me a little bit of time and i will convert to PDF. I will need an email address to send them to.
