I enjoyed it, the zed looked very good compared to the others and had less problems.

Will be waiting for the comments about it when I get to work later.

Do we know if it was a members car at some point yet?

I thought the zed looked timeless with fantastic road presence.

I don't have iplayer (outside of UK) but can somebody tell me, if I was imagining that this was a 2 seater LWB. I couldn't really see the 2 rear seats during the in-car clips with Hammond.

I would say that the rear seats were removed for the roll cage fitting prior to the show, so that when they got to the snow track challenge, all they had to do was bolt the cage straight back in.

It was a 4 Seater/LWB , but for the Ice racing stages it had roll cage fitted, I did'nt notice myself but they may have removed rear seats to fit it.

That was my exact thought after they got to the alp's and were putting in the roll cage. And I thought what a let down if it was true - the guys know the challenges before they ever set off...

My bb is slow so I'm letting the link buffer so that I can have another look. I do think that the rear seats were removed from the start though. But then again, I may be mistaken

I was wrong, I was wrong, I was wrong.

At 4.32 - 4.40 on the link, you can see the real velour seats and a jacket on the seat. I guess it was the preinstalled bar which put me off when I watched it live.

I bet Slick Pete is down in that gorge in the Alps trying to find that Targa right now....E Bay, watch this space LMAO.

Am sure I saw a '300zx.co.uk' sticker on it, so would guess someone was cringing everytime hampster bumped the 944 .............. will forgive him for the drum kit:D

Hmm thats given me an idea - I have a spare red targa top - could ebay it saying its famous! lol :D

Its my internet connection - I have just moved out to the sticks, everything is years behind civillisation.

I think the connection is down 2 yogurt pots and a bit of string.

 Oh i see , did that other link posted help?

no way that ZX is 1500

For a Twin turbo manual, with those wheels etc?

I thought that mate. Top gear buying power i suppose.

The truth will eventually come out!

But a 300zx with everything working and looking like that no way £1500

Would have been really interesting if the stig had done a timed lap in each of the cars.

I dunno, I thought it looked a bit scruffy. Quite a fun part of the show, but Clarkson's comments about it 'looking awful' are dumbfounded since he compared its 'prettiness' to that of the 348 when it was launched.

Also; Christ, chrome lights look awful!

Mines a twin turbo manual, the red one in the sig, I paid £800 for it... just needs a turbo changing as its seized then it'll be spot on! ;)

True that Si

i stopped taking top gear seriously a while ago. The comments made by Clarkson and hammond total contradicts what they said about the car the last time and in other articals

im sure they were just hightlighting the fact the Zeds can be had from that price of 1500 aswell.

@Baz but im sure by the time you would have sorted the turbo out that £800 car will be around £2000+ total with all the cost etc?

As I've already said, its not the cheapest fully working road legal TT I've seen, I've collected and driven back many examples from all over the

country for less than that, but its was cheaper than you would normally expect to pay, amd Im sure it was far from a "nice" example in person.

There are a whole load of poor examples out there. You certaintly should not expect to get yourself a decent example for that price.

Do bear in mind the buying power of a Topgear Production team as well.

Mine only went for £1570 just before xmas which was a manual TT in grey with a full leather interior. Not in bad nick just a couple of bubbles on the arches and a bit of mid sill needed attention....

Still, I will buy another one oneday... :D

Not that great. I've seen photos of that on piston heads and it looks shabby. Both sills have had patches welded on them and someones painted the lower halfs with underseal. Mind you, what do you expect for £1500!

If it was traded in then I would suggest you could have easily bought it off the dealer for £1500. Unless its a pristine example the vast majority of traders would just want to get shot of it. I think I would have probably paid 1500 for the Zed, but that Porker looked well shot and the Capri was a disaster; I wouldn't have given £500 for either of those two. Let's hope that everyone doesn't think they can buy a manual TT for £1500!

Cheeky twat! I happen to think they look the nuts :D

Meh! You'll see the light one day....excuse the pun! LOL ;)

Not sure about that matey boy - got me some 99 spec chromed inserts being made
