i'm in the process of sorting my smoking tubs and not sure whether to rebuild them myself or buy new???:confused::confused::confused:

Having them rebuilt may cost less than a new set depending on damage!Send them off to someone like TurboTechnics or buy a Rebuild Kit (CLICKY) and do it yourself!Its not overly difficult just tedious! Can result in being far cheaper than New ones!

 

Or Bore the turbos out and put bigger T3 shaft and blades in for a quick for for bigger turbos :)

yes i have, its down to the tubs i assume, but the head gasket recently went bang so i've stripped the heads off, with engine in car. so now seems like the ideal time to sort them out just to make sure.

i Managed it ok, in heindsight (god knows how you spell it) it would have soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much easier to work on if it was lifted out in one lump and for all the work i did to get the heads off it probably would have been quicker tooo.
